As usual, Project Galaxy has forged new partnerships and helped other projects handle several campaigns and giveaway events using credential data. While we have kept ourselves busy with many moves that strengthen our ecosystem, here’s a summary of some recent activities.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Project Galaxy is offering exclusive Valentine OAT NFTs in its Happy $ GALentine’s Day campaign. Anyone can join and share the love with special ones this season. Interested users can claim one of 2140 limited edition NFTs already available.

On February 15, Alpaca Finance hosted an ask-me-anything (AMA) session on Project Galaxy’s Discord. The session had Alpaca’s Head of Marketing and Strategy, Samsara, fielding questions from members of the Galaxy community. Topics ranged from specific Alpaca Finance projects to collaborations between the yield farming protocol and Project Galaxy.

ETHDenver launched a series of fun OAT events in partnership with Project Galaxy. Participants collected 14 different OAT NFT badges from physical events between February 15 to February 18. The series had several partner hosts, including Coinbase, Polygon, Circle, CyberConnect, Yearn, Protocol Labs, and Decentraland, among many others. 

On February 15, ETHDenver held a “Let It Snow” evening reception with Coinbase, Polygon Studios, AAVE DAO, and Sushi. Other events were the “All About the ZKverse” developer workshop hosted by Polygon, a lowkey dinner by Project Galaxy, Coordinape, and Yearn, as well as a #BUDLWeek workshop by Protocol Labs. Participants also enjoyed a Web3 Happy Hour event with a lot of merriment, and a CyberConnect-hosted CyberFrens Party on the 18th.

Registration for the public offering of our native $GAL token closed on February 16. $GAL is an integral part of Project Galaxy, functioning as the governance token, rewards for user participation, and our ecosystem’s primary payment asset. $GAL has a total supply of 200 million tokens, distributed throughout the community in various ways. The largest allocation of 20% will go to the Community Treasury, while marketing efforts and the Project Galaxy team will receive 15% each.

The sale officially began on CoinList at 18:00 UTC on February 17, with more than 1 million unique registered users in the queue. The CoinList allocation sold out in 50 minutes.

Polygon Studios is rewarding members of its community and everyone else who watches its Weekly Briefing with Project Galaxy’s on-chain achievement tokens (OATs). Viewers can watch out for Easter Eggs as small QR codes in these videos to claim tokens for OAT collections that can help collectors earn other present and future rewards. However, viewers must hurriedly grab these tokens, as they are only available for short claiming periods!

Alpaca City announced its first campaign on Project Galaxy. The campaign will give people the opportunity to receive free unique Alpaca Comics NFTs. Furthermore, NFT ownership grants access to land presales in Alpaca City. Anyone interested should join the campaign quickly, as only 500 NFTs are available.

In collaboration with Project Galaxy, Alpaca Finance is hosting an exclusive event-based NFT for people who joined the Alpaca and Project Galaxy AMA session on February 15. Beginning at 1:00 GMT on February 17, eligible attendees can now claim one NFT, with Alpaca Finance admins eligible for five entries. Only 1508 NFTs are available, so hurry up and claim yours while you still can!

Web3 blockchain-based event platform Betterticket has partnered with Project Galaxy to celebrate the 24th Africa Business Conference (ABC) in March. Betterticket wants to leverage NFTs at the conference to reward attendees by giving each person a complimentary NFT. Project Galaxy and Betterticket are also starting a fun whitelist campaign on Gleam. Participants must complete tasks to win spots on the whitelist.

Instadapp and Project Galaxy have launched an NFT Campaign where participants can collect up to 4 NFTs to use or learn about Instadapp. In addition, users receive bonuses for creating LP and earn more rewards for staking the new LP tokens.

We are happy to announce a brand new UI for pages on Project Galaxy. Project Galaxy encourages you to explore our website to see four new and exciting designs for OAT, Drop, Mystery Box, and Parent Campaign pages. The designs present an appealing feel to our community as we continue to revamp the website for easier access to information and increased usability

Meson Network hosted a discussion on Twitter Space with Project Galaxy, Bybit, NFTrade, and Arweave, among others. The discussion featured key members of these projects and a 2000-USDC airdrop. The airdrop will end on March 2, with distribution following a week after.
