Over the last few weeks, Project Galaxy saw significant community growth, especially via a lot of traction from our $GAL token launch. We also launched several campaigns and collaborations and made multiple announcements covering current and future plans. Here’s a summary of some of our most vital recent activities.

We have successfully launched our native $GAL token, now available for trading across many of the top cryptocurrency exchanges globally. Some of the supported exchanges and protocols where $GAL trading is active for trading include:

We took a moment to celebrate the launch of our token at the Permissionless 2022 event held from Tuesday, May 17, to Thursday, May 19. The $GAL launch party was held at Palm Beach and co-hosted by Hashflow. The Gal Launch Party was located on a beautiful rooftop bar and had all the guests dancing until the sun went down. Following the launch of our native $GAL token, several news articles featured Project Galaxy across the finance and crypto space. Yahoo News, Bloomberg, and Benzinga were some of the outlets where we appeared. Each story provided exciting information about our partners, users, and our important role in developing the Web3 ecosystem and driving mainstream adoption.

Project Galaxy announced the ‘How to Web3 on BNB Chain’ campaign in collaboration with Coinmarketcap Earn. The initiative is a learn-to-earn campaign that features 9 protocols and 9 lessons hosted by BNB Chain. The campaign offers users an opportunity to learn and explore the featured protocols on BNB Chain. Participants have a chance to win a part of a $180,000 prize pool. Good news for you, the campaign is still on-going! You have until June 7th to complete the lessons and be eligible for the prizes. 

Project Galaxy made it to BNB’s top 11 Star Dapps in May. The list featured 11 Dapps with a considerable number of transactions and active users on BNB Chain, as well as a high potential for more growth. BNB Chain noted that Project Galaxy successfully ran several OAT campaigns, including the How to Web3 on BNB Chain and the BNB Chain Revelation Hackathon.

Web3 infrastructure provider NodeReal announced the second round of its Loyalty NFT giveaway campaign powered by Project Galaxy, offered between Tuesday, May 17, and Tuesday, May 31, 2022. The NFT giveaway aims to show appreciation to early adopters of NodeReal’s MegaNode services.

Hashflow announced a special Project Galaxy Edition Hashbot NFT for 100 lucky winners who contributed liquidity to the $GAL public pool. Winners must claim these limited Project Galaxy Edition action figure NFTs by 14:00 UTC on May 29.

Project Galaxy’s official Twitter page hit 300k followers! To celebrate and thank our followers for this milestone, we issued 300 special OAT badges to the first 300 Project Galaxy followers who liked and retweeted our celebratory tweet.

The Web3 developer summit ETH Shanghai announced Project Galaxy as a sponsor of its 2022 Virtual Hackathon. The virtual event takes place between Friday, May 20, and Friday, June 3, 2022. Project Galaxy held a session exploring the entire Project Galaxy ecosystem, with specifics on creating and utilizing credentials.

Project Galaxy worked with Ancient8 for its ‘Go Go Galaxy - Unleash your Creativity’ campaign event. After completing specific Gleam tasks, participants shared a prize pool of up to $3,000, including 250 $GAL, 5 General Saint Giong NFTs, and 25,000 BBP.

We held a ‘Thread Your Galaxy Competition’ on Twitter, where our community members had to write informative Twitter threads about Project Galaxy. Three winners were selected and shared a prize of 2,000 USDC worth of $GAL. Twitter users @shinichiiikun @ItzroyaleO and @IshaaqZiyan submitted the three winning threads.
